The QuickBooks Farm Accounting Cookbook™ is a 370-page how-to guide and reference book for anyone who uses QuickBooks in agriculture. It contains very little information about ManagePLUS. However, this book is an excellent source of information about setting up and using QuickBooks in a farm or ranch business. As such, it can help smooth out the process of using both QuickBooks and ManagePLUS. Roughly a quarter of the book is devoted to setting up QuickBooks for a farm or ranch business (the Chart of Accounts, the Classes list, knowing which QuickBooks forms to use and which ones to avoid, etc.). The remainder of the book contains step-by-step procedures (“recipes”) for common agricultural accounting tasks in QuickBooks.
